This is a unique internship that will give you direct experience and an opportunity for leadership. You will get real hands-on experience communicating with the home owner daily, managing your own crew of other college aged students, calculating and ordering supplies and even doing final walkthroughs / signoffs with the customer. This position will provide you with a meaningful work experience and allow you to grow your management skills. Come be a member of our team this summer. Each summer we award one or more outstanding painters with a worker scholarship. Prairie Rose Painting and Roofing makes an initial contribution towards this scholarship. Our generous customers are given the opportunity to make a donation. When it comes to deciding who should receive the scholarship, 3-5 customers and community members on our panel will award the scholarship based on need for the money, dedication to your schooling, and how well their customer's experiences are positive and memorable ones.

There are several ways to make great money with Prairie Rose Painting and Roofing. Beyond your base pay you receive production bonuses, extra cash bonuses and customers are given the opportunity to tip you after the project. The bonuses can be upwards of 50-100% of your base pay! That is how you can make upwards of $18-$25/hr. If you work hard and give the customer an enjoyable experience you will reap the reward!
Each of our students start out at a base pay, and you receive raises once you gain skills and independence. Typically for new workers starting after your spring semester you will receive two raises over the summer. One after the 4th of July and one after Labor day. You receive bonuses based on hard work, timeliness of project completion, extra hours worked, and the length of time they stay at our company.
